Bring your laptop and begin your virtual work with your own teacher or complete the assignments as directed by your teacher. Bathroom breaks are one child at a time in the studio and lunch is socially distanced, but allowing for socialization, outdoors. Staffed by New Jersey Certified teacher and college students enrolled in teacher education programs.
Students, who anticipate finishing their work early, should bring a book to read.
Books and enrichment material will be available ie: coloring, drawing, painting, puzzles, age-appropriate videos, writing paper, engineering blocks, etc.

Temperature will be taken upon arrival for staff and students. Program is limited to 12 students per day. Everyone will wear masks. All work is done outdoors, at 6 foot tables with one student at each end. Tents will cover the work space. Light rain will not interfere with work day. If extreme weather is predicted, student may elect to stay home or to socially distance inside the studio (only 5 allowed for inside days).

At the end of each week, the family will register and pay for the specific days they need for the next week, first come, first served. This program is designed for the beginning or intermediate level student in performing arts.

Each week, students will take a challenging dance class, featuring stretching, across the floor work and learning new combinations, some of which may be presented at an outdoor event with an invited, socially distanced audience. They will learn vocal technique and new songs for their own repertoire, as well as some group songs….all of which may be presented at an outdoor event with an invited, socially distanced audience. Character development will be studied in addition to script analysis, monologue strategies, and participate in games of theatre and improvisation.

This course will run on all days which have acceptable weather….under the tents if the rain is light.
Cost for the program which is expected to run at least 8 weeks is $199.00. There will be a limited enrollment of 20 students per class. There will be no refunds. Payment is due on Sept. 3. Classes begin Sept. 8.

Please note: any student who registers for the Spend the Day Program and the After School Enrichment Program will be supervised by staff during the half hour transition at 2:30 p.m.

Please use Beth’s cell phone when attempting to communicate during the programs, as we will be outside and the studio phone only rings inside.

Please use registration form at BrightestStarSchoolOfPerformingArts to register for either program and indicate which program(s) you desire.

Comfortable clothing, suited to the outdoor weather of that day is recommended.

Pick up time for both programs is between dismissal and 15 minutes later, if needed. Please park on Samuel Court and wait for your child to be escorted to your car by a teacher. Any late pick ups are subject to a charge of $5.00 per 15 minute increment.
