9am-3pm daily, with both before and after care available.
A special evening performance will be at Somerset Patriots game, singing the national anthem.
All instructors, directors, and counselors are either New Jersey Certified Teachers or working performing arts professionals. Our outsanding faculty have appeared in thousands of shows collectively. Most have directed/taught in the performing arts on all age levels and for many years. Outstanding staff to camper ratio: 1:4
Brightest Star Summer Musical Theatre is a “triple threat” program designed to fully educate campers in the musical theatre genre. Students will receive daily classes in voice, acting and dance, as well as lessons in technical theatre, character development, costuming and story-writing. Previous experience is not a prerequisite. No audition required.
All students are featured in the big show at the end of the program.
Great attention is given to safety and security at all Brightest Star camps.
We assess the level and needs of each individual student at the beginning of each program. We, then, strive to increase their knowledge in all performing skills, as well as interpersonal abilities. Through singing, acting, dancing, memorizing, managing their own rehearsal time, increasing their sense of urgency on the project, questioning the talented, experienced staff mentors and helping their cast mates achieve, the students prepare for the stage and for life!
In addition, we provide time for just plain fun. At Sleep Away Camp, we go to the beach daily, play mini golf, go to the amusement park and watch the sunset. At Day Camp, we play games, specialize in improvisation and value our new friendships. Many of our students have returned for 6 or 7 years!
